Raqs Serpentine is a modern belly dance troupe rooted in ancient tradition. Our style has been described as modern dance meets belly dance and belly dance theatre. We follow our hearts and fuse many elements that call to us such as; Indian classical dance, American Tribal Style, Classical Egyptian Cabaret, Modern Dance, fire performance and story telling. Our vision is to honor the roots of the dance and its constant evolution as it changes the people it touches and the people it touches change it.
